Parent Involvement
Parents are encouraged to get involved in their child's education. A student’s success depends greatly on parent participation and involvement in their child’s academic program, both at school and at home. Below are some ways Jefferson parents can get involved:
Parents to the Rescue "Neighborhood Action Council": Meet Tuesdays & Thursdays in room 95 at 9:00 AM. Join our parents to learn how to better serve the school and community.
Attend School Functions: Requested Parent/Teacher Conference, Parent-education training and classes, Open House, Back to School Night, Family Picnics, Student Performances, Curriculum Nights, and Family Movie Night.
Volunteer: Classroom and Office Helper, Library Helper, Playground Supervisor, Crossing Guard
Serve on a committee: School Site Council, English Learners Advisory Committee, Parents to the Rescue, Parent Teacher Organization
